Sized for men and women Extra Small to Extra Large.
This extra-roomy, easy-to-sew Parka pulls on easily over your head when the cold winds start to blow. Based on a smock worn by men in western Siberia, we've added pockets to keep your hands toasty, too. This type of Parka would traditionally be made of tanned leather, but you can make it of any outerwear fabric, from serious wool to up-to-date polar fleece. We have also seen it as a rain garment (see pics) and suggest it as a sun coverup for those times at the beach when you want to be in the sun but not exposed to the sun.
Suggested fabrics: For a warm garment: Medium to heavyweight outerwear fabrics such as wool, sweatshirt jersey, or fleece. For a rain garment: waxed cotton or waxed linen fabric. For a sun coverup: double gauze or cotton voile.
